Have a headcanon!
If it weren’t for Denmark’s long time standing as the happiest country on earth, Matt would definitely be a different sort of person. He’d be quieter and smile a lot less and worry less about negative emotions showing through. Because he wouldn’t feel the pressure of his title and like he has to live up to that title. To be quite honest though, the emotions he bears and his (MIA for more months than he’s comfortable with) best friend Jan are two of the only real reasons he’s still able to stand here today.

A headcanon about Matt’s sexuality I suppose.
Matt’s bi??????? I think?????????
Physically he prefers girls, they have the curves and the hair and they’re soft and hey who doesn’t love girls? He likes spending time with them and if they want to be omg bffs hey he’ll braid your hair and listen to your guy problems sure. He likes that personality, but it’s not a personality he could date. Too much drama.
Personality wise he prefers guys- they can bro it up and eat and all that good stuff without the social stigmas that those actions have for girls. He likes to have fun and most of the girls he’s met haven’t been able to provide that for him.
So let’s look at it this way, the one relationship he’s had on here and now the one he’s slowly forming: Lukas and Maya.
Lukas was a guy but a very pretty guy, slender with soft hair and softer skin- but they could still ist hang out. At least, at the beginning. Then things started to change with him and Matt wasn’t really happy anymore. Too much drama, too much not knowing. Too much stress! Of course e misses him, they were supposed to be married— but he definitely changed personalities on him there.
And then Maya, what a babe Maya is! Beautiful and strong with all that hair the things he could do with that hair (that sounded dirtier than it was I swear) and she’s tall like him and just wow she’s pretty. But she also grew up with just brothers, spends most of her time with guys, she still likes to have fun and do all those things Matt likes, so it’s just sort of the perfect mix.

It’s actually dad’s idea. Him and uncle Denmark are friends, but they tease each other very much still. Dad told me that whenever uncle Denmark is over, I can use beer as a treat for him if I want him to do something for me. There are rules though, like I can’t ask him to clean my room…
