“Where d’ya keep th’first aid kit on here, first? We hafta clean that cut up on ya head, ya know?” He looked about in the cabinets, noting the supplies they had available and how little food they had available. “Crrrrrrrap.”
“It’s on the top shelf of the cabinet next to the shower. I’m sorry about the lack of food. I wasn’t planning for much of anything so the only things in here are the emergency provisions. ” Ame sighed as she collapsed on the bed, noticing the blood on her forehead.
“Yeah, well…” He sighed, taking the kit out and bringing it over to the bed. He sat, eyes fixed on the door and watching the rain fall in through the small crack. “I’d say what we got right here is an emergency.” He unlatched the box, taking out the disinfectant first and spreading it gently on her cut.
Ame hissed lightly, trying not to cuss in front of the Dane. “Yes, but neither of us anticipated the mother of all storms in the middle of the ocean. I honestly thought that it was going to be a fun day at sea, but I end up realizing that 100 pounds of Ame with 70mile winds don’t really make for a strong hold.”
“Yeah, well, 170 pounds’a Matthias don’t wanna go out there either…” He sighed again, pressing a bandage down over her forehead. “…Guess we just gotta hod down th’fort here…”
“Great. Well come on and get in bed, just take off your jeans, you’ll soak the bed otherwise. Best thing to do is simply sleep it out.” Ame groaned, “And thank you for saving me.”
“Sleep it out…?” Matthias shook his head. “Yeah… Guess so…”
