“I will!” His face was determined as he washed and rewashed each of the dishes, making sure that they were perfect. He didn’t want to make the other boy think he was dumb or worthless because of where he’d been living for all these years.
Lukas stared at Mathias for a while longer, seeing his determination to actually clean the dishes. He shook his head, walking back to the table, leaving the other alone by the sink, as he started to put the food away. There wasn’t much left, but if they could get some leftovers, it would help them, seeing as their only real source for food was the forest and the odd time someone dropped a parcel of food or money at the door. “When yer done washin’ those, ya can bath too. The water should still be warm…” He said, not turning around to face Mathias as he put everything away.
“Tak, that’d be nice!” He paused, lips pursed as he turned to look at the back of the other’s head. “But what about ya? Don’t ya want any warm water?”
